Massage by Area for Full Scalp Coverage
Massage the scalp step by step according to different areas to avoid missing any part. The recommended order is: forehead hairline → top of the head → temple areas on both sides → nape hairline.Technique Details: Light Pressure + Slow Gliding
Hold the comb handle and gently place the comb teeth against the scalp (there’s no need to fully insert the teeth into the hair; the ideal pressure is when you can feel a slight sensation without pain. Resin comb teeth are relatively smooth, so no hard pressing is required).
Move the comb in either “circular motions” or “slow straight glides”:- Forehead to Top of the Head: Start from the hairline above the eyebrows, glide slowly backward to the area near the Baihui acupoint (the topmost point of the head), and repeat 3-5 times.
- Temple Areas (Both Sides): Use the comb teeth to gently press the temples, make circular motions clockwise for 30 seconds, then counterclockwise for another 30 seconds. Keep the pressure light to avoid pressing on the nerves.
- Nape Area: Start from the hairline behind the ears, glide slowly downward to the lower part of the nape, then glide back up. Repeat 3 times to help relax the scalp muscles connected to the neck.
Control Pressure and Frequency
- Pressure: The standard is “a tingling, relaxed feeling on the scalp without pain or redness”. For sensitive scalps, reduce the pressure further to prevent the comb teeth from scraping the scalp.
- Frequency: Each massage session should last 5-10 minutes, and 1-2 sessions per day are sufficient.
